From the Ice to the Booth: Brad Gushue Joins Grand Slam of Curling Broadcast Team

September 14, 2026

Brad Gushue has joined the Grand Slam of Curling broadcast team as a full-time analyst for the 2026 season, bringing his Olympic gold and bronze medals, 15 Grand Slam titles, and decades of competitive curling experience to the booth.

The appointment marks Gushue's transition from competitive play following his retirement last season. Working alongside Joanne Courtney, Jennifer Jones, and Brent Laing, Brad will provide expert analysis and insider perspective on curling's most elite events. The broadcast team collectively brings 56 Grand Slam titles of experience to fans across Sportsnet and CBC in Canada, ESPN in the U.S., and internationally on Rock Channel.

Coverage of the 2026 Grand Slam of Curling season begins October 13 with the Co-op Invitational in Victoria, followed by events in Medicine Hat, Sydney, Thunder Bay, and Kingston throughout the fall and winter. Sportsnet will televise three draws daily from Tuesday through Friday at every event, with CBC, CBC Gem, and Sportsnet+ carrying Saturday playoff games and Sunday championship finals.
