Brad Gushue recently spoke with CTV News about his new memoir, Gushue: The Making of a Champion, co-authored with journalist Stephen Brunt and released November 3.
The six-time Brier champion discussed the experiences behind his Olympic, world and Canadian championship victories, as well as his life after competitive curling.
Brad also spoke about his daughters, Hayley and Marissa, who have both found their own way into the sport.
“I tried to keep them away from the game, but they both found it,” Brad said. He added that he hopes they can enjoy the opportunities curling provides, regardless of how far they pursue the sport.
The conversation also touched on some of Brad’s memorable experiences in Calgary, including competing in an empty arena during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Brad will continue the conversation about his memoir at a Wordfest event at the Memorial Park Library on November 10.
