Brad Gushue has been announced as the opening keynote speaker for CHES National Conference 2026, bringing his three decades of Olympic and championship curling experience to an audience of Canadian healthcare engineering leaders.
Brad's keynote will focus on the fundamentals of building strong teams, effective mentoring, and navigating high-pressure environments where performance truly matters. For healthcare engineering professionals working in complex, high-stakes settings, his message on team culture, resilience, and accountability speaks directly to the challenges they face daily.
An Olympic gold medalist and six-time Tim Hortons Brier champion, Brad ranks #3 in the world and is a recipient of the Order of Newfoundland and Labrador. He holds an Honorary Doctorate from Memorial University and has spent three decades leading at the highest levels of sport and business.
His opening keynote sets the tone for the conference, emphasizing that top performance isn't built on individual talent alone—it's built on trust, clear communication, and teams willing to show up for each other under pressure.
